Some product questions, use and handling, and other details may not be addressed in a SDS/MSDS document, but are still relevant issues to tattoo artists and the general public. Amazing Colors is made by artists for artists to enjoy. The following items are a few answers to the questions that are important to our artists, collectors, enthusiasts, and the general public.
Basic Instructions:
- Before use, properly shake the bottle to ensure a clean mixture of the ink.
- Store all Amazing Colors' inks at room temperature, and keep in a cool dry place.
- If distilled water is added, treat as if a single use product.
- Always use proper protection when handling inks.
- Dispose of expired inks according to industry standards and regulatory agencies' criteria.
Usage:
Before using, tighten cap and shake the bottle vigorously to allow the mixing ball to move freely and to break up any clustered ink. Twist the bottle cap and pour the precise amount of ink you wish into your ink cup. After use, tighten the cap by twisting it counterclockwise and wipe the pouring tip with a clean cloth towel. Should the ink ever begin to dry out or if thinning is needed, we recommend using our Amazing Solution - a multipurpose additive that will prevent your ink from drying out or evaporating.
Storage Advice:
Each bottle of Amazing Colors is labeled with a clear date of manufacture, an expiration date, and a lot number. It is highly recommended and advised by regulatory agencies for inks to be used before the expiration date. Opened inks should also be used within a year (a 12-month period from breaking the bottle seal). Generally, stored bottles of ink should be shaken every few months for regular mixture of the ink to ensure a consistent color match and flow during use. Never freeze tattoo inks. Amazing Colors' inks should be stored away from direct UV sunlight and kept indoors, dry and at a comfortable room temperature.
Cautionary Note:
The use of Amazing Colors' inks on certain individuals may cause allergic reaction. Amazing Colors claims no responsibility for allergic reactions. Spot testing is advised if there is no history or tolerance to the specific pigment or dye.
Do not use on women who may be pregnant. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not ingest and avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
Allergy Testing
Amazing Colors uses a formula that eliminates most known hazardous ingredients that are commonly found in other inks. Because everyone's skin is different, there's never a guarantee that the ink won't cause an allergic reaction. It is recommended before tattooing to conduct a standard skin patch or spot test on the client. To be safe, performing a skin patch test a month before the tattoo session will inform you of everything you need to know.
